BEESLEY A 12-BORE BOXLOCK NON-EJECTOR GUN, NO. 1774 30-inch damascus barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers, about 1/4 and 5/8 choke borings, the frame and top lever with fine scroll engraving and retaining traces of original hardening colour, the maker's name signed within a banner, 14-inch well figured stock with chequered side panels and chequered butt plate, 6lb. 6oz., nitro re-proof S2 The maker confirms that the gun was built in 1902 and sold to L. Molesworth for £21. It was later sold to Lt. Col. H. P. McC.Glover who was a decorated First World War artillery officer, award the Military Cross in 1918. |
