29-inch Whitworth steel chopper-lump barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers, about 1/4 choke borings, with machined ventilated rib and top extensions, the later interchangeable 29-inch barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers, about recessed borings, top extension and solid file-cut rib, the frame, locks and top lever with fine bouquet and scroll engraving, single trigger, 14 1/2-inch well figured stock with perished rubber recoil pad, 7lb. 7oz., nitro proof, ejectors require regulation, in its lightweight leather motor case with additional fore-end, extensions, etc

The gun incorporates Green patent 14951 of 1912 and is another of the key patents for an over and under gun at this period. When Purdey first considered building an over and under gun it was the Green patent, renowned for its strength, which was chosen. |
